Making a Difference

On November 18th, with the help of your donations and our volunteers, we were able to furnish each of 80 kennels at Harris County Shelter with a Kuranda Dog Bed!  Now these dogs who wait in the shelter no longer have to be on the hard, cold floor.  Through your donations we were able to raise over $4,000 in just one day.  Thank you to the amazing team at Ronnie and Cathy Matthews, RE/MAX Legends who helped us assemble the beds.

Halliburton Hometown Hero Program

Please help us by voting daily through June 5th!

Through the Halliburton Hometown Hero Program, members of the greater Houston community are invited to nominate a local charity that is going above and beyond to make our community a better place to live and work. The deadline to submit a nomination is Friday, June 5 and you can submit one every day.

The three local charities receiving the most nominations will each receive a $5,000 donation from Halliburton. Each of the 10 local charities receiving the most nominations will receive tickets to one home game during the 2015 season, as well as air time on the Houston Texans Radio program on SportsRadio 610 to promote the charity on the week leading up to and on the day of the game.

Shuttle Update

We are excited to announce that we have EXCEEDED our fundraising goal for the shuttle (total raised is at $17,395, of which $15,000 will generously be matched for a current total of $32,395) to transport dogs from Houston to Wisconsin!  Our vehicle search is now underway and we have recently received our IRS approval so we are now a 501(c)3.

We have started off the year by rescuing 27 dogs!

Thank you for your generous support - this is a big step in our mission to change this problem in Houston and make a positive impact!
